CleanPeak Energy commences construction at Wangaratta Solar Farm

Fantastic day at our Wangaratta Solar Farm site today, celebrating construction commencement with a sod-turning by our CEO Philip Graham, COO Jonathan Hare, Mayor of the Rural City of Wangaratta Dean Rees, and Victorian Local Member Tim McCurdy MP.

A moving Welcome to Country was delivered by Uncle Dozer Atkinson on behalf of the local Bangerang people, including a smoking ceremony and didgeridoo performance.

Located in north-east Victoria, the Wangaratta Solar Farm will comprise over 70,000 solar panels mounted on a single axis tracking system following the east- west movement of the sun. Construction on the solar farm is estimated to conclude at the end of 2024 and will deliver around 72,000 MWh of clean energy per year into the national electricity grid via the Glenrowan substation.
