CleanPeak’s Wangaratta project combines utility-scale solar with a 20 MWh battery.
Designed and built by CleanPeak Energy, the 38 MWdc Wangaratta Solar Farm is a utility-scale, in-front-of-meter solar project connected to the local distribution network near Glenrowan substation. With approximately 71,000 sun-tracking panels, the project can generate around 72,000 MWh of clean energy each year and avoid close to 60,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. It also includes a 20 MWh battery energy storage system, with plans to expand storage capacity to further support grid stability and renewable energy integration.
