Multi-utility precincts
Delivering a bespoke mix of sustainable utilities
CleanPeak Energy develops, finances, owns and operates distributed energy infrastructure that helps residential, commercial and industrial customers decarbonise without requiring them to own or manage the assets themselves.
We operate four large scale energy precincts across Australia. We provide a unique mix of sustainable utility services at each site – such as electricity, thermal heating and cooling, recycled water, EV charging and more.
Project Highlight
Central Park
The energy infrastructure we operate at the precinct delivers a full suite of energy services, including 2.2 MW of gas generators, 22.2 MW of chillers, 12 MWt of hot water, and a high & low voltage electricity network. Our mission is to develop our clean fuels business to eliminate the use of natural gas in the precinct.
The precinct is designed to maximise the efficiency of central plant operations. Our gas generators allow waste heat to be recycled into our thermal system, reducing energy requirements by more than 30%. Our central plant also operates at an efficient level far in excess of conventional building infrastructure delivering further reductions in the energy footprint of the precinct.

Tonsley
The Tonsley Innovation District is a 61-hectare site located 10km south of Adelaide that has been reimagined as a premier high-value multi use manufacturing and education location. As the operator of Tonsley’s energy and water infrastructure, CleanPeak delivers sustainable solutions to a variety of tenancies in this mixed-use development.
With our 5 MW rooftop solar installation, 3.5 MWh battery under construction, extensive network of high and low voltage electricity, gas distribution and connection system and non-drinking water, we provide the essential services needed across the precinct. We have also incorporated clean fuels in this precinct by developing a solar garage in which we draw energy from the onsite solar system and use it for Electric Vehicle charging.
